Describe a Specific Situation

Numerous medications for an elderly parent had to be dispense at various times throughout the day and night. Carrying and reading each individual medication bottle was impractical and time consuming, so a pill dispensing system was developed.

The Tasks that needed to be done

• Generate a pill dispensing system that streamlined the process.
• Make sure that the pill system that is developed could be understood and used by someone other than the primary care giver.
• Labeling and pill containers purpose warrants an intuitive nature.
• System supports a pill-dispensing amount for a min of 6 days.

My Contribution

• Lead designer in generating the functionality of pill dispensing system.
• Performed usability testing with primary and secondary users.
• Composed document that facilitated the dispensing of medication.
